The Egyptian Alternative Energy Company (AECO)

Electrical
Solar
There are several technologies that convert solar energy into electricity. The most versatile of these technologies is the solar PhotoVoltaic (PV) that transforms the photonic energy directly to electricity. While PVs are very economical on the large utility scale they are also one of the most popular solutions for distributed energy generation due to their ease of installation as well as the ubiquity of the sun’s energy.
Wind
Wind power is transformed into electricity using wind turbines coupled with electric generators. Wind power is one of the most economical sources for electricity generation. Unlike solar energy, wind energy varies greatly from one area to another. For that, wind turbines are used in open fields and usually for large utility scale power plants.
Heat Turbines
Heat turbines as their name suggests transform thermal energy to kinetic energy that is later transformed into electricity by the use of generators. Clean and renewable sources of heat can be used with thermal turbines to ensure sustainable and clean electricity. The main advantage of heat turbines is that they can be used for base loads as they rely less on the environment and weather in contrast with solar or wind.

Waste
Waste is a very abundant source of energy. Many different kinds of waste can be used for their calorific value, like municipal waste, livestock waste, agri waste etc… Each kind of waste can be used with various technologies. Some transform waste to gas and some can transform waste directly to heat to be used for thermal processes or to generate electricity.
Solar
The sun’s energy can be converted directly into heat, using several technologies. The choice of the technology usually depends on the heat grade required for the application. Very simple technologies like vacuum tubes can generate low grade heat economically, while more costly heat concentrators can generate high grade heat.
Heat recovery
The wasted heat for industrial processes is usually a low grade heat. There are many advanced technologies that can transform this waste into useful energy source. The waste heat can be recovered to be used in thermal process, can be used for cooling and also can be used to generate electricity. Waste heat is usually the cheapest source of energy.

We offer several financing schemes. we own and operate our developed power plants and directly sell the energy to our clients. Alternatively,
we allow our clients to own their own power plants and work with our financial partners to offer our clients long-term financing options.

We work with a large global network of suppliers. We never compromise quality and always look for the best deals to source every single component
that goes into our power plants; whether we are going to sell the power plant or end up owning it ourselves.
Construction
We rely on our local and international partners to execute and build our power plants.

Our operation and maintenance team work around the clock to ensure the seamless operation of our power plants day and night.
We operate and maintain all the power plants that we own. We also offer O&M options for our clients who buy their renewable energy solutions from us.
